All it means is that the interference level varies a bit over time, which is perfectly normal, and this time the re-sync occurred at a time when the interference was low. So it reconnected at a rather higher speed than before, but since then the interference level has increased a bit, lowering the noise margin.

Its kind of like a trade-off.
Higher SNR is better... but as your connection speed increases, then your SNRM will decline.

Whats likely happened is that last time your router resynched, the SNRM was good, so you got a higher speed.
However SNR does fluctuate during the day..  this is normal.. and likely because the synch speed was higher.. the SNRM is now lower, as things have settled "back to normal".

Hope that makes sense.

The errors are the totals since the last re-sync. The previous set of figures were for two days+ uptime, but the last set are for less than an hour. So you can't compare them.

Yet another re-sync at about 7.15 this morning. One thing I have noticed is my interleaver depth has gone down from 16down 4up to 8 down and 4 up.Is this to do with your line stability.

Also just did a BTspeedtester test

IP profile = 1250kbps
1856 down 448 up
actual achieved during the test = 1179.

I think my IP profile should be 1500kbps when the line adjusts its self.

I think you have to accept that the high level of stability which you previously enjoyed was quite unusual for a long line like yours. Periodic dropped connections and smallish variations in the speed are much more like the norm.
