Hi all,

Recently noticed my BT Infinity circuit has a below par upload speed, circa 11MB.
Download is fine circa 68MB
I've been on the BT Wholesale checker and the upload profile is 20MB,
Are there any stats on my unlocked HG612 I can share with the Forum as to a reason why?
Or, any steps I can take to mitigate this.
Nothing has changed in my network and has been working fine since it was installed.

Thanks in advance for any assistance,  :)
Cheers,

The upload IP profile always indicates 20Mb for BT Infinity2 regardless of upload speed.

What speed tester are you getting the low upstream results from? have you tried the think broadband speed tester, or uploaded files using ftp to a known good source the btwholesale speedtest isn't that reliable or accurate my upload result is lower on that too,
But from the stats  i see no logical reason why your upload would be so slow you are syncing at the max  rate capped at 19999kbps so should be getting around 18.5-19.5mbps

Are you using a wired or wireless connection to the router?

Thank you for the information.
I was using BT Wholesale for the tests, and using wired to the PC.
Looks like it was all a red herring as I've since done several tests on thinkbroadband and the uploads speeds are where they should be.

I was a bit concerned as, not knowing much if anything about the figures I posted, the SNR of 6.1 is showing. I had read somewhere anything around 6 was very bad ?

However it's all running fine, so I guess it's a case of leave well alone.
Appreciate all the help  :)

Completely the opposite, 6 is the target, the more below 6 it gets the worse it is, although hopefully from next month BT are releasing 3,4,5 & 6db targets.
