2 chicks

The elder one on the left - all white and fluffy....an egg in the middle...  and the new one on the right - still wet.

Me too eric -

This is the moment dad flew back home and mum moved to one side almost as if to show off the newcomer.
(Actually looking closer on the pics I think its Dad thats actually on the nest now rather than Mum)

(hears the other parent coming back)

Stands to one side to show them off .

Then tucks them back away to safety

Thanks for keeping tabs on developments whilst I've been down the pub. Either you are watching constantly, or you are very lucky with the timing, Kitz. Either way, lovely screen grabs. :)

Just look what happens when I do some work outside on building a patio and turn my back. Two chicks now :'(
The chicks look good. :)
Last year they had four eggs but only two hatched, If I remember correctly a guy abseiled down after some weeks had gone by to remove the two that did not hatch so they could concentrated of looking after the two chicks.

Believe it or not mostly a fluke.  Although I was watching earlier, a friend round was round this afty but after they'd gone at about 6ish, I saw your post so decided to look at the cams again, which is when I got the pics of the empty shell.

After that I did "watch" for quite a while though (dual monitors so was able to keep it open whilst doing other things) which is when I saw the 2nd chick.

Great news

Lets hope the last one out is strong enough to avoid being eaten by it's siblings.
