FTTC cabinets on exchange NSBFD
« on: December 17, 2016, 09:50:19 AM »

I get the impression that some cabs on my exchange, Broadford, now support VDSL2. (I tried putting 01471822204 into an availability checker.)

I wouldn't know what the prospects are for us here in the remote village of Heasta though, with the closest dwelling (me) being ~4.6 mi away. Could anyone tell me what is the politics concerning getting additional cabinets upgraded? I'm just wondering if there's any hope at all for us in the foreseeable future?.

If it's not covered by BDUK, there are Community fibre partnerships.

Surely you're best bet is to get local land owners and residents on board and do a B4RN type install.

But would that allow Weaver to continue using A&A as their ISP?
