Use the link given by both b*cat and myself.

ETA  I see licquorice has kindly looked it up for you - our posts crossed.

does anyone know what chipset the hub one is?  ive done some research and it seems that the hub one is a HH5'A' and is susceptible to causing slower speeds and latency due to not having G.INP...if your on a G.INP enable cab (from what i can gather is just about all cabs?! - am i right? or wrong?)

It's a Lantiq VRX-268.     Yes you would in theory be better with a BCM, but Openreach have now amended their DLM so that the Lantiq based devices arent as disadvantaged now as they were when G.INP first rolled out.  - link

Interestingly, the Ebchester exchange area has six Huawei cabinets and six ECI cabinets.

arent AS disadvantaged - so they are still at a disadvantage...lol... i wanna get a BCM based router with G.INP, Vectoring and 5Ghz Wifi (N/AC) although i dont have AC wifi installed in my PC, i do think i will be getting one in the future, currently using the 5Ghz N network, signal isnt too good, im picking up neighbours 2.4Ghz N wifi thats stronger than my 5Ghz N wifi according to inSSIDer

on 2.4Ghz it starts to struggle as it gets to my max download speed of 37Mbps - jumping up and down from 32-36, but on 5Ghz its straight to 37 and stays there

The line-card ports of an ECI Hi-FOCuS M41 DSLAM have an Infineon (a.k.a. Lantiq) chip-set.

Some people like to match the chip-set of the modem/router with that of the DSLAM's line-card but, like Kitz, I prefer to use a modem/router with a Broadcom chip-set.

ECI cabs use Lantiq (IFTN).

Code: [Select]
DSLAM/MSAN type:        IFTN:0xb206 / v0xb206
G.INP is not currently available on ECI cabs, but rumours are its going to be re-enabled by around March time.   Don't quote on that though as it is only a rumour.

Its now getting a bit like that around here but higher numbers.   All the enabled cabs when FTTC rolled out in 2012/2013 were ECI's, yet about 15 done over the past couple of years are Huawei.

Having re-read Snadge's requirements, it does appear that a ZyXEL VMG8924-10A will be the device to choose . . . as stated by Kitz, a few posts above.

thanks guys.. i would like a G.INP and VECTORING ready solution so that im not going to have any issues if and when these get enabled on my cab - I also prefer BCM ...but ive always been connected to BCM dslam on ADSL2+ ...this is the first time on FTTC for me, gunna have to brush up on my xDSL knowledge lol... 2 years off the xDSL scene and while it was good having cable without any faults or issues, i did miss all the problem tackling etc  :D nice to be back :)

Here is a list of relevant CLI commands for your future ZyXEL device, just to get you started.  ;)

xdslctl info --state
xdslctl info --show
xdslctl info --stats
xdslctl info --SNR
xdslctl info --QLN
xdslctl info --Hlog
xdslctl info --Hlin
xdslctl info --HlinS
xdslctl info --Bits
xdslctl info --pbParams
xdslctl info --linediag
xdslctl info --linediag1
xdslctl info --vendor
xdslctl info --cfg
xdslctl info --webstats
xdslctl info --vectoring
xdslctl profile --show
xdslctl --version

(You will probably find that adsl will also work, as a symbolic link to xdslctl.)

PS.
If you are going to go for a Zyxel, because you said you wanted wireless AC,  can I just re-iterate that the model you need would be the VMG8924-10A

The 8324 and 8924 look the same, but the 8324 is only wireless N.
Although saying that, most will agree that the the range of the 8324 is pretty good.  In fact unless I was stood practically next to the router,  my 8324 gave a better speeds than one AC device I tested.

is the 8924 5Ghz also N or is it just AC..?  just I have an Intel 5Ghz 3x3 card installed on a PCIE port on my PC, it uses 5Ghz on the N standard, not AC (but iam thinking of upgrading it to an AC one)

All Wi-Fi is backwards compatible with the relevant standards on the band, so all 11ac equipment does 11a+n+ac.
