Users of ZyXEL Modem/Routers
« on: December 02, 2016, 06:13:10 PM »

I currently am using a ZyXEL VMG1312-B10D as the CPE for a G.992.3 (ADSL2) configured circuit.

During some reading of other ZyXEL documentation (not related to the VMG1312-B10D), I discovered something . . .

From a web-browser, enter the following into the address bar --

IPv4_address_of_ZyXEL_device/deviceInfo.page

Note that the string deviceInfo.page is all in lower-case, apart from the I (of Info).

Is anything now displayed?  :-\

On my phone (via WiFi) it results in Google search, I will try on the PC later.

Well on the four browsers I just tried, it resulted in Google/Bing searches, Bing's first result was this thread  :)

Thank you both for your testing.

With my VMG1312-B10D it outputs a table of device specific information. A truncated example is attached, below.

As the device does not have a 5 GHz WiFi system, I was suspicious that the "hidden" page was ZyXEL device specific rather than VMG1312-B10D specific.
