PPPoEoA very short frames
« on: February 07, 2017, 12:57:47 PM »

Questions about PPPoEoA -

When you have a really short PPP frame and you wrap ethernet around it before encapsulating it according to rfc2684, do you have to observe the Ethernet 64-byte minimum length thing? That is inside PPPoEoA do you have to have it padded out before the FCS?

Another question: what if you drop the FCS, can you then lose the stupid padding?

Last question: how many people do drop the stupid FCS?
