Hi I'm on BT Broadband upto 8mb and everything has been great my sync speed is 8,089kbps but for a week my IP Profile has been jammed at 1250k here are my line stats if it helps

Those are excellent stats. Are you saying that you did have a much higher IP profile up to a week ago, and then it fell? If so, you must presumably have had a temporary situation which caused the router to sync at a much lower speed. This might have happened more than once of course. Is there anything in the router log to show this?

Nope could it have been a power cut as there was one a week ago but could that be the case ? and usually how long will it take for my line to recover ?

The power cut was probably the cause. It might well have flickered a few times before going down, causing the router to reconnect at a low speed.

But the IP profile should recover within 5 days, and in a case like yours where the difference in speed is so large, it should happen more quickly than that. So I think you have to talk to your ISP and persuade them that your profile is stuck. You'll probably have to go through all their help centre scripts first, so you'll have to be patient. Perhaps if you point out clearly that this was a temporary glitch caused by a power cut, it might help to bypass some of the tedious stuff.

Thanks I waited it out instead of calling BT and my IP Profile has shot back upto 7000k I think it is and my throughput is +6500k thats a rough estimate and everything has re stabilized and its all running honky dory :D Thanks Guys

Its a shame the DLM's significant change system doesn't kick in more often but at least its done its job eventually on this line :)

I think perhaps James was referring to the problems I have with stuck bRAS/IPprofiles on my connection.

It was James who had the "pleasure" in playing ticket tennis with BT when the DLM wasnt playing ball with my line. ???
