I would have thought the very restricted bandwidth available ( RADIO bandwidth that is) would preclude it except for special cases ?

I was intrigued by this.
Their website has a small amount of information - data Data rates: 700 – 153000 bit/s, and the radio is a hefty rack mount.
Probably eye-wateringly expensive.
They seem to see their target market as being security, defence and shipping.
