Latest update for Spybot is causing problem for Spywareblaster

Get error message:
"Error Access violation at 0x005F71FC (tried to read from 0x07C60344), program terminated."

See:
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?p=182930
and
http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=206415

It is effecting Vista and XP so it is not an OS conflict.

I have uninstalled both Spybot and Spyware Blaster and cleared all known files out.

Then I downloaded a new install of Spyware Blaster but when trying to enable all protection on Firefox, it stalls and shuts down with the same eror message. I have managed to start it and click on disable protection for Firefox so the IE and restricted Sites are protected but that is the only way, at the moment, of getting it to work.

Will Keep you Posted.

The problem seems to arise only if you have Spybot, Spywareblaster AND Firefox ( I have the first two but not the third and both Spybot and Spywareblaster are working as they should. )

There is a further update to Spybot today ( 17th April ) which is intended to fix the problem.

Floydoid:
TD, I think it's about time you tried Firefox. :)

No, thank you, Opera for me.

Floydoid:
Ah I was forgetting, you Opera aficionados are a stubborn bunch.
