The hackers have only got the password in encrypted form, and they shouldn't be decryptable, but it's still good advice for any member of that forum who uses the same password elsewhere to change those passwords.

Just found out that the same people who took drupal last month are assumed to be behind this...  theyve hacked via VBulletin.   and now theyve just  hacked Simple Machines Forum too :(

Theres a suggestion it may be a chain using passwords

Not only are the passwords encrypted but they are also salted as well as hashed.  I'm not losing any sleep.
