What I could see of the block paving at that location, it did not show any evidence of being lifted and subsequently relaid.

This view looks to me like it shows block paving of different colours:

especially when compared to the view from one year earlier of

Haha. I'm afraid my curiosity only extends as far as Street view. Ringwood is a bit far away for a real life search party!

Having reviewed the streets covered by P28 and P29 in Magenta, see att, I see that many are covered by both, as well as the local cabinet in outlying areas of Ringwood. I'm thinking that  P28 and P29 may have been co-located. But why have two new cabs serving same roads?

The other thing striking me is that Mansfield road behind P28's original site bears heavy traffic, that is often backing up to join the A31 at any time of day either from general congestion or accident on the A31, so could there be too much electrical noise around for the cabinet?

It shows up even better from the other side

There doesn't appear to have ever been a PCP there, going back to 2009 and there is no sign of it, just a cab which is for the CCTV.

@Ronski

You seem to be saying I was hallucinating. >:( I hope not, as the cabs were both there last year.

No, I mean previously to you seeing them, BS commented that it would be unusual for an existing PCP to be removed.

@Ronski
Sorry for taking you wrong.  :-[ Both appeared together and vanished likewise. Magenta's postcode for the FTTC cabs also is nowhere near Meeting House Lane/ Southampton Road, but some distance away. There is a PCP, but no FTTC cab within reasonable distance, even tucked down an alley.

You mean it's not available even though it says it is? Unlikely I would have thought.

@Dray
You could be right, but look at the deal, taken from a personal directory of an organisation I belong to, they have by being on one of the cabs. Others, may be in the same street connected via nearer P8 do much better. Some benefit from VDSL, and what the dickens will GFast add?

Cab 12 is on Cunningham Close and delivers 80/20 whereas cab 29 isn't and is obviously a fair distance away as it delivers 2/0.5 VDSL to number 8.

Actually PCP12 is at the junction of Gorley Road and Lindford Road, and did/ does not serve any properties in the area in question. PCP8 is a little east of the White Hart PH, opposite Eastfield Lane, and as far as I recollect under ADSL the affected properties were served by it.
