Ok nice one I wont be touching the router for a long time now anyway. Ill just let DLM do its thing. There is no reason for me to touch it now anyway :)

And seven weeks for the DLM or DSLAM to turn on G.INP for your line so mark this date 19th of October 2016 and happy broadbanding  :)

I calculated it to be the 21st of October, so we can see who will be closer this time :) who knows you might guess it twice correctly lol

Would be a  :D if your circuit was G.INP enabled on the 2nd day after reset but think that Assia court case changed how our UK FTTC DSLAM behaves notice how more members are complaining their line became banded by a small issue and needed a DLM reset to rectify it by requesting an OR engineer visit  :(

I'd be closely watching error rates, especially if it returns to fastpath. If you start seeing high error rates it may well be worth artificially limiting the sync speed via the modem till g.inp returns. You don't want banding applied again after all the time and trouble to remove it!

Yeah great idea John, I will definately keep a close eye on the lines error rates  :)

Well guys I'm pretty surprised  :o

My line has just resynced with G.INP on the 2nd day banding removed and the sync rate is at 76mb ;) the highest speed my line has ever been at.

Interesting numbers there...

As the 8800NL seems to follow the usual Broadcom behaviour (of overestimating attainable speed when interleaved), we'd expect an "open profile" speed of around 72Mbps. So that's an extra 4Mbps from G.INP.

It's good to see that DLM might be back to a 2-day time to switch from a reset-induced interleaved profile into a G.INP profile. A real shame a line like this needs manual intervention to unstick the banding. A worse shame that the humans can't trust that DLM is getting a decent balance.

G.INP retransmission looks to be working at least twice as hard as on the banded line, judging by the Retransmit-TX, Retransmit-Corr and LEFTRS graphs. But working pretty much successfully, with only 1 ES.

My banded ECI G.INP line is going to switch DLM profiles due to an ISP change(7th).

I highly doubt I'll get my G.INP back until it's rolled out again but the banding should disappear.

I hope it doesn't happen to you, but recently there appears to be 2 types of DLM reset. The type that occurs when switching ISP or product, and the type performed by an OpenReach engineer. The former appeared not to remove banding. It would be an almighty PITA if you lose G.INP and keep the banding.

I've only seen evidence of that when it was a product change or changing ISP to one with the same DLM profile.

In my case I'm switching from Speed to Stable, so it should be fine.

If it isn't I'll tell my new ISP either DLM reset or I'm cancelling.

It was looking to good to be true Interleaved then G.INP activated in two days after DLM reset and and I see no reason for your line to be Interleaved again as G.INP was looking good G-Leftrs was good G-Retransmit UnCorr was excellent.

So are we looking at a return of G.INP on your line around the 19th/21st of October or is there something else going on we don't know about.
