Changes since v5.8.4:

- adjusted the timing for uploading to MDWS to avoid the first 5 seconds of the minute
- fixed error "24:0:0:0 is not a valid time specification" with some snapshot timings

Thanks again roseway; one thing I have noticed the "Include with bitloading" checkbox (Items to monitor tab) is not remembered on program restart.

This is on the raspberry pi version.

Installed just now and I will report back in a couple of days.

The "include with bitloading"  needs to be rechecked on Windows version also, but no big deal for me to check it again

"Include with bitloading" stays ticked here both with v5.8.5 and previous versions.

I don't have "Show as separate graph" ticked if that makes a difference.
I do have "Bitloading" ticked under "Bits"

I should have added, the "include with bitloading" box constantly needing rechecked is not just from this beta.
It also happens on the latest official release. no idea about previous versions as I'm a pretty new convert to your fantastic program

Eric I see the initial timeout collecting system uptime immediately after Recording Started in event log, then on the first sample time following this I see it again collecting firmware, so far after these two timeouts I have not seen more following these two. Not sure if it helps identify why but after the initial timeout the  modem uptime is not displaying until after next sample happens where the f/w times out.

Eric I spoke too soon, I am getting more timeouts on things now on V5.8.5, like getting vectoring and getting stats. I'm sure 5.8.4 was better! I'll go back to that and see what happens.

5.8.5 was installed on both lines here just after release and no timeouts or other funnies so far. The delay to :05 secs is working well but really needs to be done on HG612 Stats as well as that is where the main problem lies. I think Ronski said a delay can be set somewhere in the program's Control Panel? Chrysalis is one sufferer but his upload time creeps forward all day long for some reason and so only affects him when it reaches around zero secs...

Eric I've gone back to 5.8.4 and after 8+ hours only seen the initial two timeouts on program start. I'm using my 8924 btw if that makes any difference.

I think these are just random differences, Stuart. There are only two tiny changes in 5.8.5, and neither would have any effect on timeouts.

I think this problem is down to the modem. After the telnet login is completed, DSLstats has a 15 second timeout, just to avoid hanging when the modem completely fails to respond at some stage during the data collection. The timeouts you are seeing are occurring during this period. My opinion is that if the modem hasn't responded in 15 seconds then something is very wrong, and I can't think of anything more I can do to deal with it.

Include with bitloading stays "ticked" if  "Show as separate graph" is not ticked.

The SNR per tone checkbox has be also be unticked on the Autosave Graphs (Snapshots tab).

You can change the delay in the settings. Pic attached.

My 8924 always suffered with missing minutes regardless of what we tried. I believe it is something to to with the mode/router itself.Telnet time outs etc..
