Gigabit home networks based on what technology? Ethernet, powerline networking, wireless?

In any case, I'm guessing no, at least not without special hardware.

Just the standard built in gigabit NICs on motherboards.

I'm slightly puzzled as to what you would actually like to see plotted.  ???

Assuming a straightforward two dimensional graph, what would be the parameters for the X- and Y-axes?  :-\

Just a simple bits/tone graph as on mydslwebstats.  ;D

I've looked at the IEEE Ethernet specs, and get the impression it works by switching the voltage between two levels very quickly to transmit bits, so it doesn't really work the same way.

Ah, I see. Thank you.  :)

<Nods.> In differential mode, I believe. It's something that I would not like to try to quantify!

1000Base-T signalling is simultaneous, bidirectional, five-level pulse amplitude modulation over four pairs.

An interesting bit of info here, including a spectral plot:

Thank you. A little more for me to read, when the moment is ripe!  ;)
