I asked Plusnet tech support to run FTTC GEA Test Result to my ticket. I was surprise to see Estimated Line Length In Metres in there.

It's not that surprising really. The electrical length needs to be accurately determined to calculate the correct amount of upstream power back-off. The Lantiq dsl_cpe_control program has a command (llsg) to report the estimated loop length (actually it gives two different lengths for two different widths of wire).

the closest thing is the attenuation which can allow you to guess the length.
