Change in Errors between US and DS
« on: July 04, 2016, 07:11:01 PM »

Interestingly over the last couple of days my US errors have gone up significantly, whilst the DS have reduced. I guess this must be something to do with the quality of the cable (part of mine is AL) and its ability to carry the frequencies. I have always capped my DS slightly (about 15%) which has kept me on FP. However now my US are getting quite high, and the DS have halved.

It starts on the 3rd of July at 2am while you were in your bed and then the errors start to drop off then a resync occurs at 16:09 on the 4th was that a forced resync or a autol one ?

I forced the re sync. The line had been up for about 55days and I thought perhaps the US was drifting.

I meant US SNRM was drifting down.

G3uiss the Upstream in Band 1 in the tones bitloading graph has lower Bits + SNR than the previous day wondering if this is maybe down to atmospheric conditions

I guess that's a distinct possibility. Certain frequencies ( usually higher than used in VDSL) are affected by sun spots and similar issues. So hopefully that may change. It might explain why DS errors are less than usual.

You know what you need is G.INP working on both DS and US like they do in Italy Telecom Italia

I enjoyed the G.INP DS while I had it. No need to cap my speed and no DS errors.

Interestingly, when I did have G.INP my US errors increased.

Interestingly, when I did have G.INP my US errors increased.

So did my US errored seconds when they introduced G.INP Mk2 and with the MK1 it was zero US errored seconds for weeks
