Very strange, keep searching though!  :) :)

This is what happened to my line when I went from 40 to 55 Infinity1 on April 18th

You'll have to forgive my ignorance on reading the MDWS graphs, as you've probably noticed I don't actually use this incredibly good bit of kit.

So, from what I can see you're speed is the same but G.INP appears to still be active even after the migrate has gone through ? As far as I'm aware, this function is removed by DLM upon receipt of a reset request, but is usually re-applied with 2-3 days thereafter ??

Which leaves me wondering if all that has happened is your 40Meg profile was just migrated 'as is' to the 55Meg product ?? May I ask what it is that shows you a reset has been carried out, please ?? Intriguing.

G.Inp was removed, a high level of interleaving applied for a couple days and then G.Inp and low interleaving re-applied a month later.

The top screenshot is interleaving for the past 150 days, the bottom G.Inp for the last 150 days. My line was reset on the 18th April, at which point G.Inp was removed and Interleaving applied. 2 days later, interleaving was removed. A month later, G.INP was re-applied along with a low level of interleaving. Line has been banded at 35M throughout.

The data across the top is an instantaneous set of readings at the time the graph was generated and isn't directly related to what might appear in the graph.

You need to have sight of an appropriate G.INP specific graphs (as attached) to see when it was on or off....

Thank you for the info tbailey.

I've trawled the intranet again, and nowhere at all does it make mention that banded profiles would be migrated along with the change-up in product ???
I've even ended up at the order process powerpoint presentation, and the new 55/10 meg speeds have to be manually input in something the sales-speak peeps call a 'Swim-lane' ?? This should then be seen as an open profile of 128kbps-55Mbps. How the hell the banding sneaks through I have no damned idea at all .......... it goes against everything I'm reading.

Would it be worth getting Plusnet's 40Mbs then upgrading to the 76Mbs a couple of days after to get a reset? My maximum data rate now is 21470 / 69422 would that rise after the reset? And currently getting around 64Mbs.

What is this banding business then?

I'm asking because my line is now permanently stuck on sync at 74000 after 4 years of syncing at 79999. I tried using a DrayTek Vigor 130 for 3 days over a month ago and that was enough for my sync speed to drop, and it has stayed there ever since.

I'm switching to Plusnet fairly soon (activation end of next week) so I'm hopeful that it will go back to full speed after the switch. I am however, staying on the same 'product' (80/20).

@highpriest I'm doing the same thing as you. But I'm starting off on the 52/10 that will be the new 40/20 after September then upgrading to 76Mbs a little bit after (a week or so) as Plusnet said I could do that and it would be the same price as if I just got the 76Mbs.

Why do it that way? Are there any advantages?

I thought 40/2 was the replacement of the 40/20. So do they now have three separate offerings?

I also raised a fault with BT (at least for the comedy value) and was genuinely shocked when someone actually phoned me back.

They did nothing, of course, and closed the case because there was an 'active transfer order' on my line. Oh well, I tried :)
