found some public Openreach / BTWholesale documents
« on: May 31, 2016, 03:38:43 PM »

So I been dealing with a developing fault on an ADSL1 Plusnet ( 20CN / Market1 exchange hence OpenReach ) for the last few weeks and finally got PN to the point of recognising the increasing local loop errors that I been monitoring from Broadcom chipset CPE for weeks.

Since I already spent the effort to understand this stuff, I thought I would contribute a 'breadcrumb trail' that may be of some aid to other forum searchers in future.
From Plusnet website [logged in customer] 'Help Assistant'

Searching the forums for 'BRAT' only found 4 references, each of which is more of a 'mentioning in passing' than an explanation.,16139.msg299793.html#msg299793,16599.msg308088.html#msg308088,15087.msg281443.html#msg281443

So naturally I searched a bit further to see what I could find.

Searching 'SFI required' found these two snippets which will be old news to those of you for whom $DAYJOB is CP / xDSL related, but news to me, since I only am compelled to deal with BT/OR whenever I have issues to resolve.  ;)

Service Harmonisation
'We’ve simplified our service maintenance structure – from nine options down
to just four options – and renamed them Maintenance Options  1 to 4. We’ve
also introduced the four new enhanced service offerings you asked for – Missed
appointments, flexible appointments, Expedite Repair and Special Fault
Investigation 2 (SFI2).

Service Maintenance Levels
There are four Service Maintenance Levels – Missed Appointments, Flexible
Appointments, Expedite Repair and Special Fault Investigation 2 (SFI2).

I also found two other BTWholesale public documents that others may find interesting.

That's a URL to a .pdf I don't have to post, 'cause they already did.  :)

Thank you for sharing.   I'm not even going to attempt to read those tonight, but shall bookmark for later :)
Please do not PM me with queries for broadband help as I may not be able to respond.

Thank you.  :)

I, too, have added certain documents to my electronic library. I eventually created separate sections under a "BT Group" heading --
  • BT_Cables
  • CPEs
  • ISDN2e
  • Kilostream
  • Openreach
  • SINs
  • Wholesale
I just need to remember to read those new additions.  ::)
