Does anyone know the inner and outer diameter of the power cable?

145cm is not long enough since I'm placing this on a high cupboard.

The 8924 and 8324 have different power requirements,  2a v 1.5a. I'd buy an adapter with a longer cable rather than trust something like the eBay link you've given

Yes, now the problem is, I'm not sure what to buy. Does anyone know the diameter of the hole and pin within the circle?

If it is 'urgent' just cut the cable in half and extend it with whatever you have to hand. Some standard white flexi mains would do the job easily.
You can always get a replacement PSU if you sell your router. Or if you do have a spare PSU just butcher that.

Surely if you need to extend the cable then you have one you could measure?

No, I don't have this router yet. Thinking about buying one but need to know beforehand how I'm going to place it where I want (high up).

Got someone else to measure the power cable which is 145cm and is far to short.

Are you referring to the same lead in the ebay link? Does it fit the 8324/8924?
