Add yourself to kits's banded post if you have not already done so.

I think it's not banded unless the line rate (sync speed) is limited to a particular level.

Does the IP profile change at all when the VDSL2 line rate changes?

There is another thread with the IP profile being about 92% of the line rate for some unknown reason: http://forum.kitz.co.uk/index.php/topic,17336.0.html

Thanks for post's, I don't think its banded as I'm seeing the maximum ammount of sync for my attainable, also I've done a couple of resync's and many PPP renews but still seems to be the same.

Are you 100% sure you have a stuck IP profile? (checked on bt wholesale site)

OK, So here's what I've got...

My Sync: 69262Kbps, However IP Profile devided by 96.69% (G.INP) = 65694Kbps (roughly) so around 4000kbps short.

*Ignore speed test result in BTw Test, using WiFi!

Looks like your router is not updating the IP Profile correctly. Which router is it?

The BT Wholesale updates IP profile based on sync rate reported from DSLAM I thought, nothing to do with home router?

I think that's what this means in Sin 498
Quote
Where the modem is an integrated device with PPP and/or DHCP functionality, it is recommended that change in state of the VDSL2 physical layer also triggers change of state of PPP/DHCP state. For example, on transition to “showtime” this should re-initialise the PPP session and/or force DHCP to renew. This will ensure the BRAS is informed of the new VDSL2 net data rate via the Intermediate Agent (see BBF TR-101)

Have been using a HH5 for past week but switched back to Archer C9 yesterday thinking it may of been a slowdown between HG612 and HH5....

Note I've been using HG612 for xDSL purposes since early March, AiO's can be a bit troublesome I've found...

Regarding the router needing to re-connect the PPP session for the new line speed to be reported to whatever sets the IP Profile:

SIN 498 says the DSLAM inserts information about the line speed into a particular PPP packet (PADI), as it passes through the DSLAM. Your router wouldn't even know what the VDSL2 line rate is if it's connected to a separate modem. So it seems that the only way a router could stop this process working would be if there's something different about the PPP packet it sends that somehow prevents the DSLAM inserting the line speed information.

Or is this another instance where the IP Profile is being set to about 92% of the line speed?

That could possibly be it...

Surely PADI is part of PPPoE not PPP itself iirc?

If you have a separate modem, PADI will be passed through to the router (or PC if you are using that to handle PPPoE).

I presume the "integrated" in the SIN means a combined modem/router in one box? I don't see why it makes any difference whether there's one box or two. PPP gets based through to the router anyway even in the two-box scenario. Bit confused as to why the SIN says that. It seems to imagine the presence of modems that handle the entire PPP or even PPP plus PPPoE themselves internally and only pass through the payload to some router, so these obviously need to be relieved of the requirement in the SIN as they can't be expected to report the info through.
