I am guessing its the way I have my network settings, I have set a separate interface for WAN bridge so possibly there is no route to the internet to access a time server?

How have you guys set up your interfaces?

I probably messed this up, is my bet

The main reason I bought the VMG8324 is I was specifically looking for an all in one unit to do everything I wanted, in order to cut down on network clutter and plug socket use, so I'm using the default interface and Im not in bridged mode.

However Chrys did with his, and on his suggestion I did a tutorial based on his settings and observations :-  VMG8324 Bridge mode which is how he got everything working.

Theres a screen shot here which shows the settings he used in this thread

Going to set up Zyxel VMG8924 shortly, need coffee first, was just too tired last night.

Do you know if the 8924 comes with a wall bracket  as standard, as I didn't get one, despite it being shown in manual.

Just been searching for a way to set the time and came across this thread.

I'm in bridge mode too, I've also got an interface group so I can recover line stats.
It's a good point that's made about internet access, as I'm on ( I'm sure most of us are) PPOE which requires a username and P-word to gain access to the internet

(The more I think about it the more I feel this has answered my question)

PPOE option is removed in bridge mode as it's acting as a gateway to my router.
thinking out loud here but
The interface group only separates the LAN ports so you can gain access to the router GUI and telnet but still has no internet access. Hmmmm
So in reality does the time matter? ???

Are there 2 elongated slots in the rear? if so and you get stuck, PM me as I have a spare (sent router for warranty repair last month and they sent a brand new router with all the kit in the box)
