Hi all,
I've recently (ish) moved from ADSL2+ to VDSL.
I originally synced at 55+ - but this has settled to ~50 on the down, usually 17 on the up.
I've been running DSLStats for a week or two, and noticed the FEC error count, and also some odd resyncs (weirdly, as I came onto this PC to visit kitz, so not sure if it was interference or what!, my master socket runs a cable under carpets ~10meters from where it actually drops from the loft, so wouldn't suprise me).
For example:
Reason: 1 Remote Defect Indicator/DLM
Current Downstream Sync Rate is now 50228kbps
Current Upstream Sync Rate is now 16211kbps
Followed by a few minutes later:
Reason: 1 Remote Defect Indicator/DLM
Current Downstream Sync Rate is now 51159kbps
Current Upstream Sync Rate is now 16214kbps
No idea what this means! - doesen't happen regulary but it does happen "now and again"
Running DSLStats to Mydslwebstats under username "AvengerUK"
Thanks
I should note, Plusnet were certain I had a fault, due to sync speed and estimates etc etc, BT Engineer came, was a waste of time, no faults found and sync is apparently "very good" for my area!
