What is remedial ha defect silver sand?

Roadworks.org has some BT work scheduled for my street with the following description:

It won't affect me as our postcode is splt over two cabs and this is re:the D side of the one my line is not connected too - but what are they planning to fix?

A quick GOOGLR sees that silver sand is also referred to as silica sand ?? Who knows .... not me ..... I don't do re-instatements.

Wikipedia says Silver sand is a fine white sand used in gardening. It consists largely of quartz particles that are not coated with iron oxides. Iron oxides colour sand from yellows to rich browns. Sliver sand is also used as a constituent of mortar for laying light coloured pavers.

So as Starman said, looks like they're planning to re-lay some paving slabs which maybe because they're uneven. Or they want to do some gardening...
