What is happening to my line / advice needed.
« on: April 08, 2016, 01:27:47 AM »

Hi guys, there are some strange things happening with my line lately, mainly the upstream SNR.

My username is GaZaai on MyDSLWebStats

I think my 66999 banding is now gone :fingers: and hopefully after the next reconnect I will have my proper speed back.

I have noticed my INP has dropped from 49 to 47
Interleaving dropped from 16 to 8
And the upstream SNR has went from 7ish to 12ish now

Weird, do you guys think I should reconnect in a couple of days or the let the cabinet settle itself first and see if it does anything automatically?

Thanks

UPDATE:
After looking at the state of the Quiet Line graph I turned off the modem for 45 mins then reconnected I am now back to the locked 66999 state with INP 49 and Interleaving back at 16. Not sure what happened last night.

There are times when logged events are totally unexplainable.

Looking back at the statistics for your circuit over the last two days, I'm not sure what could be the cause.  ???

The only really obvious thing is that you have a constant underlying stream of (low-level) US error seconds per hour -- hence the green, amber & amber state of your US "traffic lights" . . .

Do you reckon the upstream error seconds are caused by cross talk or is it just something that old phone lines have to put up with. I have a clean setup as there is no extension wiring, just a Master Socket with a Mk2 Faceplate and a corded phone. Back when we had a power cut my line acted in the same way as this with the real distorted QLN graph and a much higher US SNR, maybe an electrical interference reset last night or something similar causing this to happen.

As you are connected via a Huawei equipped cabinet, we can rule out any suggestion of an "ECI cabinet effect".

In all honesty, I am unable to say why you occasionally see such an effect and a constant stream of US ES (at a low-level).
