Noisy line, broadband dies,

Have the noisy line issue, had it for 2 years plus with TT, now with EE suffering it.
Found this site, and also found out it maybe a high resistance problem. So posting some stats on here to see what others think.

As you have a noisy line, you should report it to your telephone provider who will organise a telephone engineer to fix it

That is, report an audibly noisy line to whoever you pay your landline telephone bill to, and don't mention the words "broadband" or "Internet" or suchlike to them.

If possible, before reporting it try a different telephone handset preferably a basic wired one, and try from the test socket behind the BT master socket.  Then you've done the basics to check it's not your equipment or wiring.    If you're not sure about the master socket/test socket, post a picture of yours.
