VR900 V2 & IGMP/Youview
« on: March 22, 2017, 04:29:29 PM »

Hi guys - first post. I was wondering if anyone had got the VR900 working with youview? Specifically I am on plusnet, and my YV box has not yet arrived. I have seen the thread on VR900 and VR200, but that seems to be the V1 box.

The openreach document suggests a second vlan for igmp but I can't see that option for configuration.

I have founder under advanced -> Internet <scroll down> -> Advanced a tick box for igmp proxy - that is set as default.

Short of waiting for the Youview box, is there anything I need do?

Thanks,
Paul.

Welcome to the kitz forum.  :)

To the best of my knowledge IGMP proxy should be enabled . . . and you say it already is so.

At a guess, the other settings to examine would be those related to STB (i.e. set top box) and "multicast".

Other than that, it is just a case of waiting for the YouView box to be delivered.

Thanks for the welcome.

I now have the youview box, and with the TP-Link it doesn't work - I get ipc6023 which looks to be a pretty generic error, and no picture.

Any suggestions on what I need to be looking at?

Thanks,
Paul.

That's unfortunate.  :(

As I have no experience with those devices, other than carefully reviewing the configuration options for IGMP, STB and multicast, then no.

Hopefully other members may be able to assist.

Does the router have the latest firmware?

Just tried forcing the local DHCP to provide Plusnet's DHCP servers and it looks good now!

Thanks
