Battery socket HG612.

(1/4) > >>

tickmike:
Anyone used the Battery socket HG612 to power it ?.

burakkucat:
No, that will not work!

It is, in fact, the socket into which the the BBU telemetry cable is plugged. Internally that socket is connected to a UART, as the telemetry signals are sent via a serial interface between the HG612 and the BBU.

tickmike:
OK, but I thought it was 'Battery Back Up' for when you only have a 'VOIP' phone, so you can make emergency calls
What's a 'UART' ?.
