Survey rationale
« on: December 28, 2015, 10:57:30 PM »

Concerning the survey at http://forum.kitz.co.uk/index.php/topic,16652.0.html
Btw - post there not here. :-)

I would like to get a picture of how many kitizens are not on FTTC (yet, or like me not for the foreseeable). But it's not just about fractions.

I'd also like to get an idea of where the expertise lies, for example:

in long line testing and
in IPv6 setup experience,
older protocols to test modems still are doing their duty, not just VDSL2.

I'm sure there are plenty of other valuable things to come out of it.

Please de-lurk, o lurkers. A perfect opportunity. And 'guests', do sign up - a way to contribute for the first time after your quick 'hello'.

If you are not sure of some of your numbers, do still report in. You can ask for help understanding what's what, or help with obtaining numbers, but even without any statistics your report is very  valuable as if nothing else it lets me count the number of FTTC users versus older protocols.

It just occurred to me that it's not very good if I don't include myself in the surgery.

Please do keep 'em coming. Your contributions much appreciated. We're on roughly 50% VDSL2 at the moment, extremely poor statistical value without your help.

* Which way(s) do you think the results might differ compared with the general population?

(I'm intentionally interested in kitizens, not the whole country.)

Bump. Please do keep up the good work. All classes of xDSL and FTTP especially welcome.

Any FTTP users out there? Must be.

Contributions very greatly appreciated.
