Strange diggings going on under London
« on: December 19, 2015, 06:28:56 AM »

BT lowers a train down into an underground railway below Mount Pleasant sorting office in London in order to get hold of a wondrous treasure, 180 tons of Cu, presumably destined for eBay by now. See:

Referring back if that Cu coulld be be formed in to .32 or .5 grade wiring, it'd cover a lot of miles; 55000 to 144000 on my aging Sinclair.

May be some xould be spared to replace the ali. >:D ;D

Approximately £550,000. Depends how they scrap it, if it's just bare copper it will be worth more than it is in if scrapped with all the insulation included.

I'd love to see a 3D map of ALL the tunnels under London, it'd be quite something to look at.

... and when one thinks how deep some are, and built without modern machinery and technology!

I agree with Ronski, I'd be in the queue to see such a thing too.
