I hadn't seen that collection before but I had seen similar.  :D

Could it be the size, the shape or the colour?  :-\  Who knows.

I had seen this a couple of months ago..   and I couldn't resist trying it on mine. 
I'm afraid there was no reaction what so ever from either, aside from a quick sideways look.

Ive heard that some cats react the same with a banana.
