I have recently unlocked my HG612 and see a very high number of upstream HEC errors.  I don't think they are climbing now, but I want to reset the count to 0 and keep an eye on it.  How can I do this?  I can't see anything in the telnet commands, and there is nothing in the web UI.

Also do my line stats look normal?



I'm about 220m (according to Google Maps) from the cabinet and it's a Huawei cabinet.

The web GUI stats are incorrect and unreliable. The stats available via Telnet are better but are still not 100% correct. To get the truth you need to use DSLStats or HG612-Modem-Stats and even upload them to MyDslWebStats.

As well as the GUI being incorrect (in terms of putting the wrong statistic against the wrong label), that "large number" is a failure in presentation.

What is being presented appears to be an unsigned 32-bit integer.
What is held in memory is likely to be a signed 32-bit integer, with a value of "-6".

In binary, both look like this: 1111 1111 1111 1111 1111 1111 1111 1010.

It is best ignored. In fact, since our VDSL2 setup uses PTM mode, rather than ATM mode, HEC errors don't apply, and should be ignored anyway.

Both the DS and US attainable rates look to be of the right order of magnitude.
