Possibly.

But I do not notice any interference from Radio France in the QLN plot of my ADSL2 service.  :)

I'll tell you which MW station should be closed and it is CRI (China Radio International) the amount of people effected over here is bigger than you think the RFI from that station lowers your SNRM in the evening in the DS 2 band on fttc at 6000 Khz and 7300 -> khz

Thats fantastic but CRI changes the lanauage broadcast during it's 24/7 hour broadcast in the UK in the eveing time we only seem to get 6 or 7 hours worth of this RFI.

There is a shortwave radio station in Woofferton it also broadcasts at 7300 khz for a short time the transmitter power is 250kW.

Have put this into a link it is a interesting read in regards to history https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Woofferton_transmitting_station

Ah, ha! Woofferton, south of Ludlow, Shropshire. Yes, that site has an interesting history . . . far more than the little displayed on that Wikipedia page.

For those persons so interested, I would also recommend MB21 - The Transmission Gallery. There are many pictures and site descriptions, both historic and current, which will while away many hours!  :)

Here is the Transmission Gallery's page on Woofferton.

I suppose i'll have to explain the difference between MW and SW radio transmissions  :-\
Lets see the Medium Wave frequency band is 526.5 kHz to 1606.5 kHz and has a range of 200-300 miles this sort of RFI can effect the lower tones on ADSL and VDSL

The Shortwave fequency band is 2300 khz to 26000 khz this gives good ionospheric skip propagation mostley in the evening and night and the range can be 5000+ miles this sort of RFI effects the higher tones used on FTTC,
