It means 98% of the geographic area covered by that postcode is connected to the cabinet indicated.

It means that 98% of addresses for your post code (that have a wired telephone connection) are connected via the cabinet so referenced and the other 2% are connected via a different cabinet.

I can say it's looking good and upstream on fastpath is the norm for a good line with low upstream errored seconds if it was bad the upstream would be interleaved  ;)

Have to ask btw, whats a normal/safe amount of CRC errors? My line has been connected for the whole day and has just created 4 CRC errors on the downstream but thats about it. Would you say thats okay?

Yes 4 CRC errors in a 24 hours is very good i guess that would equate to 1 or 2 errored seconds for a 24 hour period.

And you could have upto 1440 (standard) or 2880 (Fast) errored seconds during a 24 hour period and the the DLM will not take action it's only when you go above these figures the DLM takes action on your line.

Thats very good to know, seems this modem/router works a lot better than my HG612 and even my standard EE router.

Did you have the latest firmware on the HG612? Older firmware tends to give lower sync speeds or it did for me anyway.

Sof006, would it be possible to see your DSL Settings, in the administration panel, im not getting the speeds your seeing, although we should be seeing the same sort of speeds, as it's pretty much the same setup. :)  Thanks.

Post a pic of yours and i'll tell you what differs to mine.

I am not at home right now so I can't post a pic but if you do it'll jog my memory.

Spread out evenly over the entire "up time", it is not quite 18 CRCs per hour.

As long as those CRC errors were not created in just two bursts of over 1100 at a time, I would say there is no cause for concern.  :)

lets see 2281 over 5 days  :hmm: we would divide the total CRC's by 5 that = 450 CRC's over 24 hours then divide 450 by 24 that will give you the CRC's per hour = 18.75

Now the tricky bit is to convert CRC errors to errored seconds now on my line 2 CRC's = 1 errored second so your 18 CRC per hour would look like 9 ES/per hour.

But as B*CAT has said it depends on the overall errors over a 24 hour period as thats what the DLM looks at if it's above 1440 ES or 2880 ES then it will take action.
