and would you believe it?! I nearly did the same this morning, accessing the hidden WD task bar item.
Just scraped in time to Task Manager to stop it. Praise to my guardian

That is the problem in a Nutshell.
It is too easy to start it.
Obviously, just a programming logic error and not by design
