Corrugated plastic pipes are often used for power cable

Yeah corrugated are normally for LV/HV mains cables and we have smaller ridged black ducts for service cables.

Nothing has happened with town centre markings; with a bad winter they could be gone. The PCP is still wrapped up, the road works well dead and gone. Prepared for winter? ::)

One fell off the lorry

Not quite fell, rather it was unceremoniously lifted off and dragged!
I've tacked this comment on, as it relates to my vicinity, but not my cab.

When I went to a convenient bus stop for a journey I sometimes make to Christchurch, a lorry was unloading what looked like a larger version of the existing PCP cab; AFAICS no FTTC venting. The area is mature, non- industrial, so I am wondering why a larger cab could be required.

Perhaps the PCP is just being re-shelled, to allow sufficient internal space for a set of tie-cables? Tie-cables being a pre-requisite for the installation of a fibre "twin" to the PCP.

A FTTC cab has been there a while and active. It's a smaller ECI.

Then I shall wait for the next update, when you next discover some happenings.

Drove past where new cab had been placed, and on quick sight it seems to have vanished. My cab is still wrapped up. However the markings in town are now occupied by a new large PCP and a large Huwiaie.
