Got new Vodafone router and though I'd give it a crack open and try and figure out what brand it really is looking on box ahG2500 which seems to point to it been a Cisco router

Thank you for sharing those photo's.   I dont think any of the regs are with Vodafone so little is known about the Vodafone Station 3 AHG2500.

I must admit that the "doings" in the centre of the PCB caught my eye. It looks somewhat similar to a USB port but clearly is not such a socket.

The vodafone stations usually have a removable panel on the back case around that area, into which you can plug a 3G dongle which they call a vodem.

   Hmm . . . It seems to be parallel with the PCB. Interesting and puzzling.

I've got a similar one and it's a Huawei HHG2500, distributed by Vodafone for Vodafone Connect.  I too would like to unlock it, but can't find out how to upgrade the web interface to let me configure another ISP.
