ASUS RT N66u login issue on 2nd computer.
« on: August 11, 2015, 09:27:39 PM »

Ok I'm a little stumped at this. But maybe I'm missing something obvious.

I'm going to be getting rid of my old WinXP system soon so I'm slowly moving controls over to my other pc.

One of the first thing to do was to get my other computer setup so it can login to the router and modem.

I thought this would be an easy thing to do. But I'm typing in the username and password on the other PC as what I use for this one and the router isn't allowing me access.

Is there some kind of IP white list for those who can login to the router?

The other computer is using ethernet, so I'm not having to go through the wifi security.

Anyone any ideas?

Doh! I found the problem.

When I had entered in the password to the router originally (when I was setting it up) it seems to have cut part of it off.

I had my browser save it the first time, so I just assumed it was the full password I had typed in. Luckily the browser info give'd up the info lol
