HG612 for ADSL

Is anyone using a Huawei HG612 on an ADSL (not VDSL2) line? (Is that even workable?)

The HG612 will function as an ADSL modem/router when you unlock it and set it up to do that.  I used them for a while on Sky LLU lines (Broadcom exchange equipment), and they functioned particularly well giving sync ever so slightly better than the SR101 and SR102 modems supplied by Sky.
