You are probably correct but if the masses understood that they are paying full rate but actually getting a slower service than someone else  due to the cabinet  I am sure they wouldn't be to happy about it  :no:

But the type of cabinet is only one of many factors that affect your speed, yet everyone pays the same for their "up to NN Mb" package. Should 50% of people get upset because their lines are performing worse than some (median) average, pretty much by definition of that average?

Something is happening at last....

User S.Step had G.INP enabled earlier on D/S this morning - and he is on an ECI Cab!!

Definitely ECI as he has tones all the way up to No 4083 whereas Huawei ends at tone 3970.

DSLstats confirms G.INP with a flag and the INP value is also at 49

So unless there is something weird here with the tone allocation...

Did read on I think it was ISP review BT are rolling something out from 14th March onwards just can't remember what and can't find review now

If its being rolled out - not everyone will get it. As with the Huawei cabinets, it only appears if DLM thinks you need it.

That is when BT Wholesale is making the 55/10 speed tier available to ISPs

 Please could you say what version the number your ECI cab is reporting in dslstats stats page.  i.e. the old chipset version of 0xb204 or the new chipset version of 0xb206
