SpywareBlaster now upgraded to v4

Anyone running SpywareBlaster 3.5x should receive a message saying to download the latest upgrade the next time they try to update it.
But any not currently running it can download it from here.

Once installed, use the System Snapshot facility.
It will copy browser and system settings in case of corruption by spyware and allows you to reset the settings.

Is SpywareBlaster any good? Never tried it myself, I always think it sounds too much like one of those phoney programs designed to make you buy them in order to remove the spyware that they installed....

Actually, it must be me and something about that name... for some reason I keep reading "SoundBlaster" in the topic title and thinking ooh I'll upgrade... I don't even have a SoundBlaster card installed any more

 Chris,
I have used it for years and never had a problem with it.
It is more of a barrier than an infection detector. It protects browsers from unwanted stuff. As of just now when I had an update it has a list of 9,847 items that will not get through on the browsers.
This list is updated by the company regularly and all you have to do is update and enable the updates to be listed in each browser list. It just sits there watching for unwanted items trying to get through. It works in real time but does not use much resource.

Recommend it.

Ditto as Dave says.

I can only say that it must be pretty good as I very rarely get spyware problems.
I did have a key-logger get through last year but that was soon picked up with another program.
