Allow monitoring of 2 lines/routers at the same time?
« on: July 28, 2015, 10:35:43 PM »

Feature Request

Can the Devs add something to DSLstats and MyDSLWebStats to allow monitoring of 2 lines/routers at the same time?

Router 1 = 192.168.1.1
Router 2 = 192.168.1.2

DSLstats will do that now. On windows, rename one dslstats.exe to dslstats1.exe and you can run them both independently on the same PC.

That's an unintended feature, but yes, I can see that it would work. You'd need to have one or both of them configured to keep the config files with the other DSLstats files (under Configuration --> Misc) and each one would have to be in its own directory.

That's a stroke of good luck then. It works well :)

You can also do that with HG612 stats, just copy the whole program to two different folders, then set each one up and make sure the second copy uses a different task name. You'll also need to change the time that the task runs, this can be done on one of the settings tab, just set it to 30 seconds, so one copy runs on the minute and the other runs at 30 seconds past the minute.

If using webstats you'll need two separate accounts, this applies to whichever stats program you use.

I see you registered a second time for MDWS but you don't appear to be uploading anything via either ID in case you thought you were :-\
