Kitz DLM timetable
« on: December 27, 2015, 12:15:01 AM »

Does Kitz' table of DLM recovery time apply to 20CN only or to 21CN as well?

I've hesitated to reply to this thread, as I'm no expert, but - as it's now three days old -

As far as I'm aware, on 21CN one would be connected to an MSAN as opposed to a DSLAM, and therefore the profile would always be 88·2 per cent of the sync, tracking in more or less real time.

My ISP's throughput rate-tracking seems to be let's say fluid. It updates frequently compare to when I was on ADSL1.

On Saturday morning there was a brief exchange fault, fixed within a couple of hours, "battery contact fault". I am still waiting for DLM to forgive me having knocked off 0.5 Mbps from my downstream sync speed on that line (2700 ->2000), but no sign yet.

As for the time taken to alter the target SNR margin, I can't see why it should be different from 20CN. But it would be an opportunity to make some changes.
