Clocks go back one second tonight
« on: June 30, 2015, 10:55:18 AM »

Tonight the minute starting at 23:59 GMT will have 61 seconds. This is a leap second to adjust for the disparity between the earth's rotation (slowing down) and atomic clocks.

I'm sure DSLstats will be able to cope.  ;)

Will we gain an extra second of life by last night's event? :-\
In a way, even taken as a joke, we could be just like those folk in 1752 who claimed that eleven days of their lives had been stolen from them. ;D TBH as it was done by HMG of the tile they may have had some justification. ::) ;D

As far as the clocks are concerned, you will have lost one second of your life, because last night the start of a new minute on the clocks was delayed by one second. We were all in limbo for that second. I don't propose to lose any sleep over it. ::)

On the other hand, I wonder how many 'hours' was spent by people all over the world either debating the benefits of a one second gain or just the likes of our selves who have 'wasted' the last few hours?
