Is there an SFP module that connects to DSL line?
« on: September 27, 2022, 02:24:54 PM »

Hello,

I am looking at Centurylink C4000XG routers, and they have an sfp+ port on the WAN side. I never heard of an sfp+ (or sfp) module connecting to two wires dsl line, but may be that exists?
Thanks, George.

Of course its $138, really doesn't seem worth it considering used DSL modems cost peanuts.

Hello,
Thanks for the information, the device exists. On this price it's however not for the mass residential market, makes little sense. I have seen it for ~$100 if you purchase 20+ (what I need), but it's still far over my practical limit.
I have also seen Proscend 190-T which supports g.fast, but they do not have pricing for it. And g.fast is very expensive from any standpoint, I prefer to pull optic wire and use g/epon, much cheaper and better quality.

Thanks, George.
