Although the interleaving depth changed, the delay caused by interleaving didn't change by much: (2 * 245 now, vs 4 * 141). The increase in interleaver block size (which is the same as the RS block size here) offsets the reduction in interleaving depth. I've noticed that this part of the negotiation doesn't always work out so logically - and can sometimes appear very perverse (I wish I had logged data from all my power cuts).

FWIW, I have noticed from a few G.INP active connections that are unable to achieve the full 80/20 sync speeds that when interleave depth (D:) decreases, sync speeds tend to decrease.

This is the complete opposite to non-G.INP connections where sync speeds tend to increase when interleave depth decreases (unless the connection's sync speeds have been banded).

Is there any particular reason as to why you haven't updated to V 5.1.0.0 16/05/2015 yet?

I now suspect the resync was caused by the line conditions that caused all those errors ... which also happened to cause enough LOS and LOF to trigger a resync.

Me too, but I can't think what could have caused it.

An operative from M J Quinn or Kelly Communications at the PCP, maybe?

As the time of the resync was 18:49, I wouldn't have thought so.

PlusNet did send one of their service status emails earlier in the week to say some BT network maintenance was to be carried out 'overnight' 5th June, but 18:49 seems too early & I don't think it would have caused those types of errors anyway.

One thing I have learnt from ongoing stats is not to jump the gun until you have observed the stats over a 24 hour period

For no apparent reason I lost synch at 5.27pm the same day and I'm with Plusnet





I also had my PPOE session terminated for 5 mins some 8 hrs later which probably was Plusnets doing.
Thankfully my line is very stable on the Fritzbox so no harm done.

Because all my access rights/permissions are still mucked up, and I don't want to induce more faults by trying to write updated executables into the folder. When I take delivery of the next circular tuit, I want to start again - complete new folder, complete new permissions etc ... and get back to a vanilla working setup.

It appears that G.INP has been removed from my Upload as what others have noticed.

Would this be the reason for the drop in max attainable for the upload?
