8800nl new dh65 firmware

Since my 8800nl crashed today, I decided to upgrade the firmware, so those curious of affect on speed and stability can check my stats.

Guessing the file is Linux and update is for fibre only?

Yes, that is the operating system used by the modem/router.

well as it turns out it seems its the same dsl driver, if the information in modem stats gui is anything to go by.  Here is almost 24 hour stats on my line on fast path.  Error rate is maybe slightly lower for today about 10% down, but I consider that low enough to be within normal variances.  Note the "firmware version" didnt update when I flashed the new firmware.

Veil over my hignoramity is slipping :-[ :D but how do I see a change log in Linux in my Windows without installing the firmware.

I would expect that there would be a PDF file bundled with the firmware image and the PDF file to contain the change log.  :)

I think that the point which renluop may be missing is that it's irrelevant in this context that the firmware contains a Linux system. From the user's point of view it's just a file which you upload to the modem/router. There may be other files supplied with it which include associated information, such as changelogs or installation instructions. These can be viewed in any type of system.
