Default action after posting

When I post in a thread it doesn't show the post or return me to the thread.
It takes me to the index page for that board
Am I missing a setting somewhere

Profile > Modify Profile >  Look and Layout

Then tick the box "Return to topics after posting by default."

Hopefully thats the one that you need.

It can also be set on an individual topic as you post in the Attachments and other options
