Mydslwebstats & G.INP connections exceeding Max Attainable.
« on: April 10, 2015, 12:43:02 PM »

Passing thought.
Just been looking at Mydslwebstats and noticed the follows:

20/49 of the G.INP connections are syncing higher than their Max Attainable.

Compared to

5/40 of the other connection that are not G.INP

Usually on my line exceeding Max Attainable, for an extended period,  foreshadows the line sync dropping.  :(

That would be the anticipated norm of old

Max attainable always seems to go a bit screwy if the line is interleaved and has error correction applied... the FEC overhead seem to confuse the calculation.

I'm only guessing but I would assume because overheads for g.inp are different again, that the router is not making a proper allowance for the decreased overheads of g.inp when compared to RS.

In my case the SNRM causes the attainable to rise and fall over 24 hours so the sync rate will be higher than the attainable for about 8-9 hours each day, as long as the SNRM stays away from 4.5dB then i'm happy and the errored seconds are so low with g.inp i'll let it do its own thing.
