High SNRM on HG612 (With latest firmware) with G.INP
« on: April 08, 2015, 09:43:04 AM »

Hi,

I'm running an HG612, and G.INP has been enabled on my line. My downstream SNRM sits somewhere around 8dB, and my sync seems to be stuck at 66999/20000. I assumed that my sync would increase as my SNRM moved towards the target 6dB, but it seems to be fixed at 8dB. Maybe I'm still banded as a result of having a DSL-AC68U on the line for some months?

It's been mentioned that this might be a symptom of my HG612 not running the latest firmware, but I believe that it is on the latest. My MDWS login is andyf if anybody would be so kind to take a look?

Here are some other relevant bits

Yes, you've got the latest firmware, and the stats look normal. The connection speed of 66999 kbps is one which several people have seen, and it's almost certainly a banded value. With the banding removed you could expect to get well over 70000 kbps.

Thanks, much appreciated.

So in theory, if I sit and wait the banding ought to be removed once DLM is happier?

Yes, although it can take some time. G.INP should have reduced your errors to very low levels.
